Fancy hats highlight Afternoon Tea

Several women attending the early sitting of an Afternoon Tea at Aylmer Baptist Church on Sunday, May 3 wore elaborate and colourful hats while enjoying a selection of refreshments and listening to the piano playing of Devin Hilliker. Food and beverages served included a cold cucumber soup, scones with clotted cream, a selection of fancy finger sandwiches , sweets and, of course, tea. The event was held in celebration of mothers leading up to Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 10 and also raised money for church programs.
