Aylmer west end Tim
Hortons supervisor Lexy Rados, seated in middle, had the hair on the sides of her head cut off and the rest turned into a long Mohawk by InStyle Salon and Spa hairstylist Jennifer Gwalchmai, right, during Camp Day on Wednesday afternoon, June 1. Ms. Rados raised $1,510.35 for the Tim Hortons Foundation by collecting donations from customers who wanted her to have her hair turned into a Mohawk. Almost half of that total, $750, came as a single donation by customer Dave Blackwell, left. A London Police officer who often visits the Aylmer area as a motorcycle instructor, Mr. Blackwell wanted to help Ms. Rados’ fundraising campaign as he had seen first-hand the benefits of children from low-income families attending summer camp through the Tim Hortons Foundation. He also appreciated that Ms. Rados always remembered what type of coffee he wanted.
