Learning about skilled trades

Dayne Walcarius, 12, applied wood filler to a wooden tool box he was making during Tech Camp at East Elgin Secondary School in Aylmer on Wednesday morning, July 13. The week-long Tech Camp introduced children in Grades 6 and 7 to skilled trades including manufacturing, woodworking and green industries. About 40 children participated in the free Tech Camp which received an Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program grant.
