A tornado touched down east of Belmont on Wednesday night, causing major damage to barns and hydro poles. Environment Canada confirmed that tornado, as well as a second one west of London, as part of a thunderstorm that rolled through the area.

That tornado actually touched down northeast of Belmont (not south).
It was at the corner of Harriestville Drive and Dorchester Road.
