Former Central Elgin mayor, deputy mayor and councillor Tom Marks will run for deputy mayor in the Oct. 27 municipal election this year. He announced his candidacy on Monday, stressing he was a “team player” on council. He also called for more intense traffic patrols on busy roads north of St. Thomas, perhaps with the help of city police.
