Two competitors emerged from a series of nets over a water-filled ditch, the last obstacle in a 10-kilometre course for Extreme Elgin at Springwater Conservation Area, Saturday, June 21. The event was a fundraiser for the Elgin St. Thomas Community Foundation.

Cancer survivors were applauded by spectators as they led off the sixth annual Aylmer Relay for Life at East Elgin Secondary School, Friday evening, June 20. About 200 participants walked the track through the night to raise money for cancer research.
